Our Fiji Family Video!

Last week, my phone storage was full so I had to sort through hundreds of videos to choose which ones to save and which ones to delete. I realised I still had loads from our trip home to Fiji in 2016 and watching them again brought back a huge wave of wonderful memories! So I decided to make a film out of them, which took a ridiculously long time, but I'm so pleased I made the effort because I'm really pleased with the result. Some of the clips are very grainy (my phone isn't too good at filming in the dark) and others are a bit wobbly, but, hey, it's homemade and I kind of think there's a certain charm in that!

It was such a glorious summer (well, winter in Fiji, but with balmy, South Pacific temperatures). We flew into Nadi and stayed at the Radisson Blu on Denarau for a few days. Then we drove along the Coral Coast to Suva, stopping at the The Fijian and The Warwick hotels on the way. In Suva, we stayed in our home in lower Ragg Av and spent lots of quality time with the in-laws. We then drove back to Nadi and stayed at Manhao hotel to meet up with my best friend, Lian, who now lives in Wellington, New Zealand. When we headed back to Suva, we popped into Jack's in Sigatoka and spent a night at the lovely Gecko's Resort. In Suva, we had a wonderful day at Kila Eco Adventure park and packed in more waterfall visits and beach time! Finally, we drove back west and spent a few nights on beautiful Treasure Island before spending our last night at Tokatoka hotel.

It was a totally dreamy couple of months, full of sunshine, smiles, singing and dancing. Making this video has made me really miss Fiji! It's also made me realise how fleeting childhood is...our trip was only two and a half years ago but the children look and sound so much younger than they do now! It's 25 minutes long, so make yourself a cup of tea, get comfortable and settle into the island vibes! Bula!
